Baby Girl loves ice cubes! I find them scary myself, with a concern that should she swallow one too big, I would have to pour hot water quickly down her throat to melt it before she suffocated. Perhaps this has never occurred, but I do not want to be the first. So, I gave her a cup of crushed ice, noting that there were still a few pieces too large for her mouth. She dumped the cup on the tray and a few on the floor. She watched me wipe up the floor with a towel. This activity kept her busy for almost an hour, even after she was released from the high chair. She finally dumped her cup on the indoor trampoline and then grabbed a tea towel and began to mop up as she had seen me do. Observing her throughout that hour, she did ease my concerns about the ice cube swallowing ordeal. Even though she is female, she can spit a cube back into the cup, OR across the room as good as any boy!!
Speaking of boys...they are munching on popsicles. The grape ones. Except that there was only one grape left. It took a bit of doing, but Ty managed to convince Caleb that deep red is the same as the purple of grape. It seems to have worked or else Caleb decided he likes cherry better but will never concede to his brother.
Ice is a big deal at our house. It fixes bumps, bruises and scrapes. It cools down soup and hot cocoa. It soothes teething babies. It is the main attraction for the Icee Maker Machine. AND it is fun to put down the shirts of your siblings...or grandmother. Well, it IS July in the desert!
YEs, between the marshmellow shooters, the Icee Maker, the Smoothie Maker, and good old regular ice cubes, we have had a very "cool" day.
